Any hospital has an adequately organized structure, consisting of specific components without which the healthcare organization will not function for its patients benefit. Thus, any hospital has a board of directors responsible for each healthcare departments decision-making (Rivier University, 2020). The hospitals that are religiously affiliated usually have clergy or congregation leaders and the ones founded under a certain universitys supervision have some institutional members in the director boards. The executives are in charge of ensuring the directors decisions are strictly applied to practice in the supervised hospital. A group of top executives usually includes the chief executive officer and other chief officers that are responsible for nursing, finances, information, etc. Hospitals also have department administrators who report to the top executives the daily operation of each department. These departments may be emergency, labor and delivery, and some other departments which need continuous supervision to fulfill their main tasks.
Each department has managers overseeing patient care, who are nurse managers, supervising physicians, and rehabilitation directors. They control that the employees work and duties are fulfilled according to the instructions and the hospitals policies. In addition, they coordinate any problem that occurs with a patient and oversee schedules. Lastly, the service providers are people who directly handle patients. They are nurses, therapists, doctors, and the employees who carry out such day-to-day tasks as laundry, cooking, maintenance, etc. All these people working together are responsible for the patients health and well-being. Thus, their mutual partnership must be built upon the core Christian principles of wisdom, humility, respect, trust, and work ethic to cooperate effectively, help each other, and create a compassionate, comfortable atmosphere in the hospital (Christian Universities Online, 2020). Moreover, the principles of communication, honesty, and even temper allow the employees to resolve conflicts respectfully, having each others best interests at heart.
