Daily Learning Tasks/Activities- Provide details Children will be provided with the table of words, some of which will start with /l/. They will be asked to identify and pronounce the words starting with L, noting the possible differences between them. Then, the teacher will show a picture of Brian to the children; the image will present the letters L and l to help children associate the letter with the illustration. The picture will present other items starting with L, such as laundry, leaf, ladder, and lime. Children will be asked to find these items and pronounce the words identifying them. Then, they will be asked to identify the letters at the beginning of these words and pronounce them distinctly.
Daily Formative Assessments (Feedback Strategies) Children will be asked to provide examples of words starting with /l/ and write some of them down. They will pronounce the words and outline the items that they see in the picture.
Summative Assessments for the Week Children will be asked to identify the words starting with L in the word list.
