Clean water has a big effect on society just as big as an effect that sun and food have to living creatures. The idea of providing access to clean water hasnt been solved because we dont have the equipment to fix the problem. They will have the equipment within ten years because that is around the time robots will be estimated to be [predominantly] used. The world has an abundant amount of fresh water but a lot of places dont have access to clean water like in Africa, India, and Brazil. The crisis is slowly rising and so are the death rates of the people that die from drinking contaminated water. Different ways we can help the crisis is by inventing new water conservation technology, make salt water desalinated, and make fresh water internationally available.

New water conservation technology would help because it would save a lot of money in the long run and not only will it save money it will save lives. Different types of water conservation technology consists of water saving toilets, water saving faucets, and low flow showers. In the United States alone there are about 5 billion gallons of water wasted a day just by flushing the toilet. That water could save up to an average of 7,250,000,000 Americans daily. We waste 700 gallons of water yearly in America by wasted faucet water alone. With that water you could take 40 showers and that is enough drinking water to save 1,015 people. In the average home, showers waste 2 gallons of water per minute so every minute an American takes a shower they waste enough water to save 3 Americans. The average American takes 5-10 minute showers so that can save 15-30 Americans by one shower alone. All together in a day in America we could save 7,250,001,017 people daily if we didnt waste water. It would be easier if we recycled water instead of wasting it.

Recycling water would have a big effect on society because it would not only save lives and money it can actually help pollution die down. If pollution dies down it will help ecosystems survive longer and endangered species would have a longer life expectancy. Reused water can help water ecosystems because not only will it help with pollution if we recycle water, it will be helpful because Americans wont damage the water flow of the rivers and streams so the fish and other animals wont have deterioration in the water or diversion from food and family. Recycling water can also save a lot of energy. The water demand is going up so while it goes up more water gets extracted, treated, and bottled which takes a lot of energy but if it were to be recycled they wouldnt waste as much energy doing that. Using low treated water on toilets and things that dont really need high treated water saves a lot of energy also especially at public resources because it would waste water or money.

Water has a big effect on society because it takes a lot of time and money to filter it and a lot of people either dont have the resources to have clean water or areas just dont have fresh water to filter. The issue is that since many different places in America has this problem we have to figure out solutions to fix it. Along with that the price of filters can take a toll on different areas. A lot of places are finding different types of filters and new water purifiers. Their is a water tower known as the Warka Water Tower. The first program that used the water tower went well. The way the water tower works is by extracting water from the air. The ingredients used to make it were all recycled material and bamboo. A U.V Water Purifier which basically makes the 48 hour process into a 20 minute process. It is far from being on the market but the idea of it is smart. A Floating Solar Powered Desalination System which is planned for California it is supposed to provide about 1.5 billion gallons of drinking water for areas with droughts. The Worlds Largest Fog Harvester is like a gigantic net that captures fog in the Morracan Desert and turns the fog into fresh water to drink. Per net it has reported to produce 17 gallons of fresh drinking water. The Nano Water Chip which produces an electrical field to desalinate salt water. It hasnt made it to the market yet but it seems like a smart idea.

The last idea the Carnegie Perth Wave Energy Project is a renewable energy source that desalinates ocean water by the oceans motion. It works together because water gets pushed into the power turbines while it works with the waves and this creates a long term water purifier. A lot of these ideas havent been completed yet because this idea is global and they have to make sure works and that they have enough because if it is successful then it will be needed a lot along with that most of theses studies and ideas were made and tested in the U.S. Desalinated water is one of the biggest thoughts for making fresh drinking water.
