Plant information
The plant was started in 1990 with only seven employees.
The company is involved in professional design and building company. The units found in the plant include systems for container manufacturing, filling industries and and packaging. The measurements of the plant are 125,000 square feet that is found on a 500,000 square feet structure in the form of a building. There is still enough room to be filled by the tenants and this is very much encouraged.
We were touring the systems in the Red Bud plant. This is whereby we were interested in the systems of operation and how they work towards achieving them. We managed to see so may things in the trip. We were able to see important aspects of line and electrical systems in the plant. This included the way power is being distributed within the plant. There were also processes concerned with lighting machines and control panels.
We were also able to see the control system and how it works to ensure everything runs smoothly within the plant. Evidence of the group being shown the developed information systems for instance date collection and management and also the machine interface systems. We were able to go through an experience in the unit section whereby there is the integration of systems into one unit. For instance processes such as piping, ducting, and electrical wiring activities occur at the same unit. Cans are assembled in the factory in three lines, the front end, middle, and the back of the lines. The plant produces seven feet to 6 inches wide and goes to Russia. The best practices within the plant concern safety of self and others.
The number of misuses has to be reduced. This minimizes the number of wastage, especially of materials. The quality improvement of the unit is important and should be the practice of everyone so that the Association can now grow and achieve greater heights. This can be achieved by all members of the plant working as a team to fulfill the objectives. Teamwork in the plant is a very important issue that affects the performance of all the stakeholders in the region.
For the plant to achieve even greater results in terms of productivity I would streamline all the activities. Quality improvement is a very significant issue towards your success. Best practices within the plant are fundamental because they determine the efficiency of the production process. Wastage minimization is a very important aspect that can lead to achievements of greater profits. Quality assurance is one factor that I can ensure is well taken care of by the employees.
In summary, the entire tour of the plant was a success whereby after the tour we were able to take with us important information that is essential in our future careers and job opportunities in the plant. The information captured from the tour can also be utilized by the managers to improve the standards of the operations in the plant.
