The documentary film The Future of Food dwells upon the history of the development of the farming in the world. The main point of the consideration is the increased usage of the genetically modified seeds and the pesticides, which are aimed to protect the grown vegetables from parasites, which harm the grown food, but in reality the increased usage of the pesticides leads to the fact that these pesticides must be used more and more and lead to the pollution of the environment as well as the very product. The great problem is discussed in the film the genetically modified seeds, which are grown and the quality of food which people consume. The number of the grown species of some plants (the potatoes are introduced as the example in the film) has been reduced to minimum, which may lead to the disappearance of the natural food on the planet at all (The future of the food).

Having watched the film, the feeling of fear occupied me. Being aware about the danger of the genetically modified food, it becomes visible that modern world comes closer and closer to the measure, where the natural food will disappear at all, and people will have to consume the products, which are offered for them genetically modified. This is frightening, as the danger of the genetically modified food is unpredictable, some scientists stress on its harmlessness, the others on its danger. Being the person who considers the genetically modified food dangerous, the future situation does not inspire me at all. The natural apple will never be substituted by the modified one, as genetically modified apple will never have the smell of autumn and the grannys garden, where it was grown.

Super Size me by Morgan Spurlock

The film under consideration shows people the impact of fast food on their health and the mode of life. First, the general information and the number of fast foods in the USA and world are introduced, with the information that America is the fattest nation in the world. The problems of peoples weight are compared with the smoking problem. The main focus of the film is the experiment, which was led by Morgan Spurlock, who ate only fast food in McDonalds for a month. To see the results, the medical investigation was provided before and after the experiment with the constant following of the doctor during the whole experiment. The result was predicted: the weight of Morgan Spurlock increased, his body became fat, with the paunch, which was disgusting in comparing to his previous body view (Super Size me).

McDonalds are everywhere, even in the hospitals, what is inadmissible. The danger to dye from the too much weight increases and now the problem should be not personal, as it remains, but corporative. Moreover, the danger of the fast food is known now, but I wonder why fast food owners are not involved for their irresponsible attitude to the health of others. The irresponsible attitude should be punished. Looking TV set, the ads of the McDonalds are seen and there is no a word that the food, which is served there s dangerous, that it may lead to the enormous weight, which will be difficult to get rid of. As for me, I usually take the side of the health food. Living in the modern world it is impossible to avoid the fast food, but people should not abuse it as it is harmful.
