Summary
Pollution of water bodies is a serious hazard to humans and the aquatic ecology, and population growth is hastening climate change. Various human activity and greenhouse gas emissions from industrial companies contribute to global warming, an increase in global temperature, and a decline in air quality. The Inyinbor et al. research attempts to place water pollution prevention within a sustainable development framework. One strategy to avoid water contamination is to cleanse wastewater effectively before discharge. There are also some climate change mitigation options for preventing water contamination. The point of the research is credible and strongly supports my thesis on the interconnection between water pollution, climate issues, and overall humanitys challenge to sustainable development. This source, packed with substantial and reliable research, can be considered the backbone of my essay.
The second source, a study by Liu et al., considers a case study from one of the problematic and underdeveloped regions of the world. Water pollution in Central Asia exacerbates current water shortages and raises the possibility of regional water disputes, making this case study an essential aspect of the research on the worldwide effects of water pollution. In this study, the authors considered a thorough literature analysis, and the results suggest that water contamination in Central Asia is intimately linked to human activity. Its important conclusion was that surface and groundwater pollution endangers human health and damages the natural environment. The key point highlighted by the authors was that to avoid additional water contamination, increasing the quantity and quality of monitoring across Central Asia is required immediately. The importance of this case study is hard to overestimate, and the immediate action needed, one of my hypotheses, is also proven to be researched.
The major cause of water pollution, the health impacts of water pollution, and the methods used to clean contaminated water are all covered in the study by Mitiku. Waters biological and physio-chemical qualities, which are used to measure water quality, determine its usefulness for diverse applications. The author considers different factors, such as household trash, agricultural and industrial wastes, pesticides and fertilizers used excessively, and urbanization as the primary contributors to water contamination. I assume that wastewater treatment is critical not just for our personal health but also for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This study also suggests an alternative course of action, such as employing natural coagulants in tackling water pollution. Natural coagulants can greatly reduce the cost of chemical ingredients while also reducing the amount of sludge produced and therefore requiring less disposal. Overall, this study is suitable for application in my essay due to its multilayered approach and strong conclusions.
It is important to operate a multi-barrier approach, which will ensure pro-section of the water source, and also certify adequate treatment and distribution of water (Inyinbor et al. 41).
The pollution of surface water and groundwater is closely related to human activities such as agricultural irrigation and mining. Spatially, water pollution with heavy metals and radionuclides as the typical pollutants is distributed predominantly throughout the Asian Gold Belt (Liu et al. 121).
The fundamental reason for the treatment of wastewater is to circumvent the effect of pollution of water sources and protect public health through the safeguarding of water sources against the spread of diseases (Mitiku 97).
